Carbon filtration is the third filtration stage in an Aquaneering Stand Alone System. The filter traps contaminants and impurities from the water in its porous carbon substrate through the process of chemical adsorption. Carbon filtration is a highly effective method of removing water pollutants such as chlorine and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

All Aquaneering Stand Alone Systems are equipped with carbon filters. The carbon filter assembly includes one to two carbon filters and a submersible pump that draws water through the filters and pressurizes the rack supply lines.
